Here is a list of the Solo content that I am currently working on / or completed in the past
I think of Rare’s as something that is either actually rare (i.e. TLPD, PSD…) or something that is rare because of the amount of time/effort involved in obtaining the item.
Rare Items / Spawns
Ø Time-Lost Proto Drake (TLPD) – Completed after month of hardcore camping in July of last year. Spent a lot of time in Bor’s Breath waiting for this guy to come along. Actually, NPCScan went off after coming back to my camping spot from Dal (was cleaning inventory).
Ø Phosphorescent Stone Drake (PSD) – Completed after 2 weeks of casual camping. Got the NPCScan alert as soon as I logged in at 7am EST - think it was a Thursday in February. When camping him, I always logged out at my camping spot for two reasons: 1. I can stay logged in until I get kicked and potentially get alerted in that time, 2.) I can login and let him sit there while I get ready for work (and this actually worked!!!!) NOTE: I said casual camping. This means using the strats above as well as camping whenever I was around the PC but couldn’t actually play. So, I was probably logged in for at least 1-2 hours a days, but some days were more like 6-7 hours. Of course, I had been online for a total of 1 second the day I actually got him. Figures. Also, when I went after the TLPD – I probably spent 10-12 hours a days (week days) and 20 hours on the weekend. I never saw him (alive or dead) until the day I got him. I did kill Vyragosa at least 8 or 9 times in the process and a couple of other rares (i.e. Skoll). Which leads to…
Ø Frostbitten – I just completed this last week after getting the stupid !#&@ing parrot “Aotona” in Sholazar Basin
Ø Bloody Rare – Currently working on this one in tandem with Outland Loremaster achievement.
Ø Grey Riding Camel – I haven’t spent a lot of time looking for the Mysterious Camel Figurine’s yet. So far, I have found 5 of them but all turned to dust. UPDATE 3/31: I got this on both my lock and DK on back to back days.
Ø Rivendare’s Deathcharger – I have this on my DK. I think it took about 30 runs before it dropped. Not too bad. Will be going back to get it with Jung.
Ø It Belong’s In A Museum – This is the Archeology achievement for finding 20 rare artifacts. Currently at 14 out of 20. Also get the Professor title with this.
Other somewhat rare items
Ø On Wings of Nether – Ok, so this one might not be that rare, but it is still fairly rare for being out since BC released. I have completed this on my DK and should be complete with this in the next month or so. UPDATE 3/31: Completed a few days after originally writing this.
